Parents everywhere know that time is a precious commodity. There never seems to be enough time to get everything you need done.
For parents with autistic children, not only is their time compressed by regular daily responsibilities, but they also find themselves in a feverish race against time to help their children catch up to their typically-developing peers in pre-school and early elementary school years.
Take action now and get your child and your family closer to these outcomes:
Peace in the house
Enjoyable family outings
Predictable behavior
Normalized lives
Vista knows how important it is for intervention services to be implemented early in life to maximize the potential of the children we are serving.
You should know…
Vista feels that it is critical to focus on this “window of opportunity” for your child. Because the brain has a higher degree of plasticity during the early years of life, the intensive intervention your child will receive during these years will lead to a higher degree of positive outcomes.
Our Intensive Early ABA-Based Intervention Program
The key elements of a successful training program are:
Step 1: Comprehensive Assessment: a master’s level Case Supervisor will evaluate your child’s skills, resources, supports and objectives, then produce a written report outlining the recommended services and plan for delivery of those services.
Step 2: Service Delivery: your child will receive one-to-one services from a trained behavior interventionist (BI), who train the skills as outlined in the Initial Assessment; the BI reports to a supervisor regarding the data collected on your child’s skill development.
Step 3: Periodic Reporting: the supervisor will create quarterly Progress Reports regarding your child’s development, which will serve as a barometer for the success of the program.
Step 4: Graduation: your child will graduate from the program when he or she has achieved the goals set forth in the Initial Assessment and in Progress Reports.
Step 5: Post-Graduation: your child may return to the program if he or she requires follow-up support or if he or she has developed new needs which need to be addressed in an updated program.
It is important to recognize that “one size does not fit all” when it comes to treating a child with autism or any other developmental disability. Your child’s program will be unique, individualized and implemented in a flexible manner.
Vista provides a leading edge approach for treating autism and other developmental disabilities. Our goal is to not only maximize the potential of children, teens, young adults and adults with autism, but to improve the lives of their families as a whole.
Vista has a long heritage of compassionate care; we are here to serve you and your family, helping to create the context for your children become their best selves.
